Yesterday afternoon, Lisette found out that University of Central Florida has accepted her too! Whew! What a day!
While talking about it all on the couch last night, we both got a bit emotional because these acceptances have made the reality that this is really going to happen...that she's leaving the nest, hit us a little harder. Then I quickly slipped back to denial while she slipped back to the celebration mode.
Nicole had a soccer game last night, I chose to stay home to celebrate with Lisette and missed out on her hat trick! Three goals!! The Bolivian boys from the other side (they played a local girls club team) were hollering "Numero Uno" - Nicole was wearing her goalies shirt with the number 1 on it. She couldn't understand all that they were yelling but her teammate told her they wanted her to blow them kisses. She refused. Ha!
The house is partly decorated for Christmas - hopefully I can finish the rest today. If I'm really good, I'll post pictures!
